The Alcatraz Tickets

Editorial Policy

This page explains how The Alcatraz Tickets chooses, checks, and updates what we publish. It also tells you where our facts come from, how we use reviews, and what happens when we find an error.

Last updated · January 2026

The Alcatraz Tickets is an independent travel information site. We do not operate Alcatraz, sell tickets ourselves, or process bookings. We publish guide content so you can compare options before you book.

Where our facts come from

We use three main sources: official attraction or operator information, transport authority information where travel details matter, and the booking partner’s product data. If those sources disagree, we give priority in that order unless a product page clearly applies only to one option.

  • Official attraction and operator details come first for access, rules, and what is included.
  • Transport authority details come first for reach-the-site advice and route changes.
  • Booking partner product data comes first for the exact option you can buy on the page.

How we choose and order products

When we show bookable options, we order them for clarity and usefulness. We look at what is included, visit type, timing, and how well the option matches the page topic. Commission does not decide the order.

We may highlight the option that best fits a common traveller need, but affiliate income never buys a better position or a better description.

How we handle prices, ratings, and reviews

Prices, ratings, and review counts are starting points only. They can change after we publish because availability, date, currency, and supplier updates all move over time.

We use reviews as evidence, not as copy to repeat. We look for patterns in recent feedback, such as queue time, clarity of meeting points, or whether a ticket includes what the title suggests. We do not quote reviews as if they are facts unless the point is simple and verifiable.

Corrections and updates

When we find a mistake, we correct it and update the page. If the issue affects a booking choice, we try to fix it as soon as we can. If a fact cannot be verified, we remove it instead of guessing.

You can report an error, a broken link, or a missing detail by email. Clear subject lines help us route messages to the right page faster.

What we do not control

We do not control ticket stock, live prices, entrance rules, tour timing, refunds, or provider availability. Those belong to the seller or operator behind the booking you choose.

  • If you need to change a booking, contact the provider in your confirmation email or booking account.
  • If you need entry help, the ticket seller or operator is the right contact.
  • If our page is wrong, tell us and we will review it.

Affiliate disclosure

Some links on this site go to GetYourGuide, which is our booking partner. If you book through those links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

That relationship does not change our content standards. It does not buy placement, edits, or positive wording.

Jurisdiction and consumer rights

This page is for transparency and does not replace the booking provider’s own terms, which govern any purchase. Your consumer rights may vary by country, but nothing here is meant to take away rights you may have against the actual seller.
